In Boston

In 2014, it only has one and half month, "what are you thinking"...?
After coming to Boston, already one and half year has passed. I have made new international friends such as American, Turkish, and Mexican... I couldn't count the number. I'm so happy and lucky bc I rarely miss Japan. Of course, initially I had been struggling to adapt new country; however, I am satisfied that my judgment was not impropriety.

I'll try to start to write my blog again in order to tell life and dream to you.

Have a sweet dream:)

My next goal

Hi everyone,

How are you doing?
I am exciting such as my life is changing anything. Recently, I could find next goal correcly.
Nowdays, I am working as a reseacher in Boston. If I get a good TOEFL score, I want to enrol at the Dental School. Because, my ultimate goal is to get a dental License and live in the US.

Last Thanksginving day, I went to LA and met one of my friends who was from same university in Japan. At the moment, She is a student at the Dental school. I asked her something. Thanks to her a lots help, I decided to try next goal.

My experiences when I first started studying English in here, made me realized I had so much difficulty in communicating with foreigners, and felt anxious about the future.
But I am lucky because a lot of people help me. So I'm changing little by little.

Have a good Cristmas Holiday!!

My life.....

After I came to Boston, it was passed four months. I had a lot of experiences...
It was the best thing that I made many friends of various countries. And I also loved...If I had lived in Japan, I might not able to do this experiences. Thanks to my associates in Japan, I got it. So I appriciate to them.
I got a sick for two or three weeks. The first, I could sleep well. Next, I was coughing long time. Recently, I was cured. I think the reason of it was miscommunication in English. I wanted to talk something and convey the feeling, but I couldn't. However, after my sick, I feel that something has changed to.
I think it is not mistake for me to come to the U.S. I got a chane which change my mind and life. I can not say yet but please expect!!

Gay Marriage

Gay marriage was legally recognized in several jurisdictions within the United States in August 2013. It is marriage between two persons of the same biological sex or
gender identity that is one of the important issues in the United State historically.

In 1924, the Society for Human Rights in Chicago became the country's earliest
gay rights organization. It was the first movement to obtain marriage rights and benefits for same-sex couples in the United States which began in the 1970s, but became more prominent politics in 1993 when the Hawaii Supreme Court declared the state's prohibition to be unconstitutional in a couple. In addition, in 1996, President Bill Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) banning federal recognition of
same-sex marriage and defining marriage as “ a legal union between one man and one
woman as husband and wife”. Even though some same-sex couples had appealed for a long time, the government didn’t change its mind
However, public support for same-sex marriage has grown considerably. For
instance, in 2003, same-sex couples in Massachusetts appealed to the Supreme Court and said that state law didn’t ban it. As a result, same-sex marriage in Massachusetts
began on May 17, 2004. Crowds gathered around city hall at midnight on the 16th. It was big news in the United States. Afterwards, movement was seen in many places.
Massachusetts was not the first place in the world to legalize gay marriage. The
Netherlands legalized gay marriage on April 1, 2001, being the first country in the
world to do so. Belgium soon became the next country to legalize gay marriage, on
January 30th, 2003. So it’s little by little that has recognized in the world. Changing is
 very good trend.
At present in 2013, thirteen states (California, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa,
Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode
Island, Vermont, and Washington), the District of Columbia, and five Native American
tribes have legalized same-sex marriage in United States. Afterward, I hope that it’s
recognized all states and all over the world.

My job and dream

I became a dentist eight years ago at Showa University of Japan.  After that, I graduated a graduate student.   My specialties are Geriatric and Prosthetics Dentistry.  In addition, I sometimes sing Jazz songs with bands in bars and live houses.  Common point of two is to change minds of people.

My dream as a teenager was to become a person who can help many people and be respected.  In practice, I became a dentist and could help many people.  Five years ago, a patient came to my hospital with her family.  She had knee surgery but it failed before coming it and she couldn’t walk her whole life.  In addition, she lost her husband in the hospital so she was melancholy.  I made her dentures, she was able to walk suddenly.  She said me that “It was good to meet you.”  I thought again, that it was good to become a dentist.

Though I had been enhanced, I began to have doubts of my job.  When I came to the USA six years ago, I felt that I will stay here in the future.  My feeling changed little by little.  I wondered about education, job, the flow of time and so on.  After I graduated a graduate student, I decided to go to the USA for three years later so I came to Boston as a researcher last month.

I started to practice songs six years ago.  My teacher said that you should sing front of people.  Then, I decided to become a dentist and singer.  I have sung Jazz songs with a band once in three months in Tokyo.  I want to sing songs while doing research in Boston.

In the future, I want to be a person who can work an active part in the world, not only in Japan.  I want to continue to challenge to new things.  And, I want to continute to love Japan.

Lantern Festival in Forest Hills Cemetry

Lantern Fesival

I went to the Lantern Festival in Forest Hills Cemetry last Thursday with friends.
It was so hot day, but I worn "Yukata" that is a traditional cloth in Japan.

What we have are the Lantern.
We wrote words of Peaceful, Love, Thanks and so on…

When the sun falled, we passed through the pond.

It was so beautiful and I was moved…
Lantern Festival is a day that heavenly people come down to the world.

I felt that I met my father, grandfathers and grandmother.
